Make items on the screen bigger or smaller on a Windows PC

On Windows, you can adjust the size of everything on a screen by adjusting the display scale. You might make this larger to see apps more easily, or smaller to have more space to work with. Follow the steps below to change this:

 

Note: If you're just trying to see something bigger on a specific webpage or app, you can often hold Ctrl and scroll up or down to zoom in and out, or look for a magnifying glass icon.

 

Open the Start menu and click the Settings gear:

 

 

Then, click System:

 

 

This should take you to the Display page. If you have multiple monitors, select one to adjust, then scroll down to Scale and layout. Click and change the value under Change the size of text, apps, and other items to be larger or smaller as needed:
