Use multiple desktops and task view for more space on a Windows PC

Windows PCs support using multiple desktops, which are effectively virtual monitors, to organize large amounts of apps. To start, open Task View by clicking its icon on the taskbar, pressing the Windows key and Tab, or by swiping up on your touchpad with three fingers:

 

 

From here, you can click the New Desktop button at the top to create a new desktop, then drag apps to it from below. You can also click the desktop's name (where it currently says Desktop 1 or Desktop 2) to rename it and stay more organized.

 

 

Finally, you can quickly switch between desktops by swiping left and right with four fingers on the touchpad or by pressing the Windows key + Ctrl + Left or Right Arrow.
